Animals tend to adapt themselves to the cold in winter, spending much of their time resting.
And we should also do the same… because our bodies really need it!
Have you noticed that you feel more eager to stay cosy and warm at home?
With the holidays behind us, perhaps now is a good time to cut back on our social life and stay home more.
Because now is not the time to be out as much. Instead, it is a good time to be choosy about which events you want to attend, those events where you feel safe and supported by people who are truly important to you. The people who love you and you feel connected to.
Winter is also a time a when we should take extra care of our state of mind. With longer nights and shorter days, it is easy to feel low, or even depressed.
So maintain a healthy state of mind and good level of energy by practicing yoga every day. That way you can discipline your mind, little by little.
And most importantly of all… meditate, meditate, meditate!
Take advantage of this time to reconnect with your own inner light, that tiny light that is always within you.
Be radiant… shine from the inside… and spread your light to the world.
